Policy on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
The policy of Prabha Energy Limited(PEL) is to conduct its activities in such a way to take foremost account of the Health and Safety of its employees, community at large, and the conservation of the environment in all its operational areas.
PEL is committed to:
- Accord highest importance to health and safety of employees and protection of environment.
- Prevent all accidents, ill health due to occupational hazards and adverse impact on environment due to operational related activities of energy through continual improvement.
- Preserve and protect the environment.
- Ensure compliance of all applicable legal and other requirements.
- Minimize and Control risks and hazards to workers, property and community at large by applying best available technology consistent with customer’s requirement and good industrial work practice.
- Ensure effective implementation of the policy by meeting or exceeding the required applicable laws and regulations in matters of Health and Safety.
- Provide appropriate HSE training to employees.
- Develop and maintain HSE emergency procedures in co-operation with customers, local authority and emergency services.
- Strive to promote, as appropriate, the health of all employees.
- Strive to progressively reduce discharge and wastes.
- Improve the efficient use of energy and natural resources.
- Ensure hazardous waste is identified, stored and handled safely. Every effort will be made to dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in line with current local and international regulations/guidelines.
- PEL through a documented HSE Management System effort will implement this policy and ensure all employees and contractors are committed to and perform their duties according to this HSE policy.
